By Chelsea Macleod, Account Director, Genoa Black
Genoa Black has been appointed to the Business Gateway Fife Specialist Business Advice Framework as the successful provider for Marketing, Communications, PR and Branding and Online Presence. The framework runs from April 2026 to March 2029 and will see Genoa Black provide specialist one-to-one marketing support to SMEs across Fife.
The appointment reflects Genoa Black’s depth of experience supporting SMEs through practical, commercially grounded marketing advice. The consultancy brings expertise across the full marketing mix, including marketing strategy, brand and messaging, communications and PR, websites, SEO, social media, content, campaign planning and performance measurement. Its approach combines strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, helping businesses move from ideas into action.
Genoa Black has supported more than 1,000 Scottish SMEs through national and regional business support programmes, including Scottish Enterprise’s Marketing Expert Support programme, Digital Boost, the International Selling Programme and the Glasgow Business Growth Framework. This experience has given the team a strong understanding of the realities business leaders face, including limited time, stretched internal resource and the need for marketing activity to deliver clear commercial value.
The business also brings strong knowledge of the Fife landscape through long-standing work with organisations including Developing the Young Workforce Fife, Fife Fabrications, Fife Health and Social Care Partnership and Gray & Adams, as well as wider work connected to Fife Council. That combination of local understanding and specialist expertise positions Genoa Black to deliver relevant, practical support to businesses across the region.
Chelsea Macleod, Account Director and framework lead at Genoa Black, said:
“We’re delighted to have been appointed to support SMEs across Fife through this framework. We know the pressures many business leaders are under- balancing growth ambitions with limited time, tight budgets and stretched internal resource- and that’s exactly why practical, focused support matters.
Fife is a region we know well and care deeply about. Through our work with organisations across the area, we understand both the strength of the local business community and the challenges many SMEs face day to day. We’re looking forward to helping more businesses across Fife build momentum through clear, joined-up marketing support that leads to action and results.”
Through the framework, Genoa Black will provide specialist advice designed to help SMEs strengthen their marketing foundations, improve visibility, sharpen their positioning and prioritise the actions that will make the biggest difference to growth.
