Defining how an engineering firm can enter the Middle East

Brimmond, Aberdeen

Brimmond

Brimmond is a specialist engineering organisation providing hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical solutions to the energy and marine sectors.

The requirement

Brimmond’s leadership team identified an opportunity to expand into the Middle East market. They believed this could drive additional revenue growth while also mitigating risk from potential downturns in their core North Sea market.

Our approach

Before pursuing any strategic move, Brimmond required robust due diligence to assess both the viability and scale of the opportunity. Should the market prove attractive, they also sought expert guidance on the optimal entry strategy.

Our work

Brimmond appointed Genoa Black to lead a comprehensive market entry assessment. Our initial task was to validate the existence and extent of the opportunity. Once confirmed, we were further tasked with recommending the most effective market entry model for Brimmond to pursue.

“Genoa Black's expertise guided our entry into the Middle East market. Their due diligence and market insights provided the clarity we needed to validate the opportunity. And their subsequent recommendation on the entry model inspired our approach to expansion.”
