The requirement

Mac’s Truck Rental had seen growing demand for flexible access to vehicles, with long-term rental agreements becoming the strategic future of the rental division. However, the business needed to increase brand awareness with its priority audiences to shift perception away from short-term hires and reposition as a long-term fleet partner.

The priority was to clarify Mac’s Truck Rental’s long-term offer, strengthen differentiation in a competitive market, and build a dedicated marketing strategy to grow awareness and conversion with right-fit customers, while reinforcing the operational strengths that matter most to fleet decision-makers, including national coverage and 24/7 support.

Our approach

Genoa Black delivered a new messaging guide and structured marketing strategy to align stakeholders, sharpen market positioning, and create a clear roadmap for marketing activation.

Working closely with the Mac’s Truck Rental internal team, we facilitated an in-depth marketing workshop to uncover commercial priorities, customer needs, market dynamics and the most valuable points of differentiation. This insight was used to develop:

  • A refined messaging guide to position Mac’s Truck Rental as a strategic long-term partner. This centrered on removing the hassle of ownership and providing dependable, nationwide support throughout the rental period.
  • A 12-month marketing strategy outlining priority audiences, channel recommendations, content themes and formats, time-bound campaigns, and a KPI framework giving Mac’s Truck Rental a phased plan to build awareness and generate demand for long-term rental agreements.
